Clare Albinson lives in the middle of rural Cheshire (England) and is married to Adrian, a solicitor. She has two grown up children and spends much of her time riding, writing and gardening. She is also a successful portrait artist, painting and drawing both animals and people, and she takes a small art class each week. Clare has been a keen rider and horse enthusiast for as long as she can remember, developing a keen interest in dressage at an early age and competing in the BHS Dressage Group. She helped to set up the Delamere Forest Riding Club and was its founder chairman. The club flourished and is now a very successful, happy club. Clare's love of horses was passed on to her daughter Jane, now 20, who was a keen and competitive rider and a member of the Pony Club for many years. Because of her interest in dressage, Clare frequently gave instruction and talks about it to Pony Club members. She says, "Explanations occurred to me which helped me understand everything better. This made me feel like passing on my knowledge to more people, now that I felt I could do so in a way that people would understand. It would be good to help others progress faster than I had."
