David Brine Pritchard

More than just an "indoor games consultant", David Pritchard acted as editor of Games and Puzzles Magazine for ten years and Games Director of the Mind Sports Olympiad. As President of the British Chess Variants' Society his book, The Encyclopedia of Chess Variants, was well received worldwide as no other work on the subject has appeared in any language.

His wife Elaine, is an international chess master, while their five grandchildren are experienced games players, frequently playtesting new board games.

With a great interest in travel David became a life fellow of The Royal Geographic Society, staying in or visiting over 120 countries.

Since its first publication in 1950, The Right Way to Play Chess has sold a third of a million copies under the Right Way imprints, making David one of our longest standing and most successful authors.
